L. BARTOLINI SCHOOL CAMPUS

The research for a connection between Topos and Architecture drives the design.

The school campus in Cupramontana aims to merge programs and functions with the morphological features of the site. The rhombus shape of the area suggests a hybrid architecture that takes the shape through compressions and decompressions of space alongside the east-west and south directions. The whole building lays down on the ground following the different heights of the area.

The outside space emphasizes the topological meaning of the design.  A long and sloping “promenade” is envisioned along the semi-curve wall covered by perforated sheets steel. The building merges with the environment creating a people-oriented architecture.
