SQUEEZED HOUSE
2015
Squeezed house is envisioned as an entity which reacts to the decline of the background. The first visit of the site suggests the idea that the residence should be isolated from the matrix. Compression of walls, deflections of form that follow the sun path and the implosion of ceilings convert the idea in substance and seek to shape a taut space. Proportions, obtained using the golden section, and materials merge in a harmonious way.
The concept of implosion encroaches the interior of the house.
The body moves through a dynamic space feeling the tension generated by compression of walls and ceilings. The skylights of the north facade and the holes in the roof allow to establish a connection with the sky.
